As an organization, we’re painfully aware of the negative consequences when teens don’t have enough positive mentors in their lives.

Since Elevate Atlanta was founded in 2021, we’ve been chasing one ambitious vision: equipping and empowering inner-city teens to become thriving leaders in their communities. Thanks to the help of our individual donors, foundations, and businesses, we’re making serious progress.

Meet Our Executive Director
Dr. Allen L. Hollie, Jr.
Dr. Allen. brings a unique blend of impactful educational expertise and leadership development to his role as Executive Director. Hailing from Atlanta, Georgia, and having served 20 years as an educator from secondary to the university level, his journey through the Atlanta Public Schools System laid the foundation for his commitment to serving inner-city students. This commitment was further fueled by his experiences as a student-athlete at the University of Alabama, where he not only pursued his Bachelor of Science Degree in Education but also contributed to the legacy of the Crimson Tide Football team.
Beyond his educational and academic achievements, Dr. Hollie delved into theological studies, earning a Master of Divinity degree from Luther Rice University and Seminary and Master of Educational Leadership. His pursuit of knowledge didn't stop there; he went on to earn a doctoral degree in Church Leadership from Wesley Theological Seminary in Washington, D.C. This diverse educational background equips him with a multifaceted approach to leadership, blending pedagogical insight with spiritual guidance.
As Executive Director, Dr. Allen channels his passion for impacting the next generation, particularly those in underserved communities, into actionable initiatives and programs and has dedicated his life to empowering the next generation. His dynamic leadership style and unwavering dedication make him a driving force in the pursuit of educational equity and empowerment for all students.
